Good day, I am writing to express m concern for the proposal impacting our natural spaces and assets. It is not clear how this is on any way beneficial apart for its attempt to reduce some aspect of fiscal responsibility and allow for more unsupervised control by the provincial government. This is not something that I would support on any level. The degree of provincial control increases in a way that does not represent what I would have considered core Canadian values. A focus on our natural resources that aims to preserve and protect, not exploit and violate. I am happy to identify myself as a taxpayer in the Niagara Region. A place where promises related protection of the land, have been broken many times. This change indicates a move to make that even easier than it has been to date. It was not agreed upon as a part of platform and should therefore be subject to some form of democratic process. No more omnibus ways of governing!
