I would like to see regional oversight continue rather than it all become provincial. The people living in the watersheds should determine what happens in them not somebody remote including continued development of meaningful relationships with indigenous people still living in the area. It also seems like the whole process of the merger is not laid out so even if this was the best option there isn't a clear path forward. I am very satisfied with the service our current regional conservation authority is providing and am active in community service opportunities, programming for community groups for youth I supervise, as well as individual/family participation in programming and general use of land and facilities.
