I don't see the need for the proposed change. It seems to me that this proposal will create a larger bureaucracy that will be less responsible to local needs in a timely fashion.

I have consulted the conservation authority here on several occasions and found their local knowledge invaluable on our lakefront property.

Larger bureaucracies are about a consolidation of power for the provincial government and I suspect this bureaucracy will do no favours to the environment.

Hence, I am opposed to this change.
