I am against the consolidation of the Conservation Authorities, specifically the Lakehead Region Conservation Authority being consolidated into the Huron-Superior Regional Conservation Authority. Without local representation, Northern Ontarians will once again be forced into the cookie cutter make up of Southern Ontario. With no local representation, there is no connection or understanding of local priorities that Northern Ontario faces, and once again, we lose the governance and prioritization in the North.
