The proposal for Lake Erie Region Conservation is broad to be affective. Much like Toronto area, where combining Conservation Authorities together would be complicated, Grand River also is already complex and will be difficult to manage together with different Conservation Authorities.

Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) is one of the largest groundwater used areas in Ontario, with 39 related municipalities already part of the GRCA watershed. It also runs two of the largest dams in SW Ontario. Asking them to share resources (staff and budget) with other CA's will negatively impact watershed management and the ability to support local municipalities.
