I do not support the consolidation of regional conservation authorities. Each current region has specific identities and needs that will get overlooked when amalgamated into larger regions. For example, the Niagara Region that I live within has very different qualities than would the larger region that includes Toronto. Rather than amalgamate to save some money but at the cost of losing local identity, enact cost-saving actions for inefficient regions and maintain local identity.
