With the rising environmental issues and climate crisis, we need more manpower and resources to work on climate adaptation, natural resources management and biodiversity conservation, rather than less! This consolidation does nothing to improve ongoing services but instead will cut funding, remove autonomy from local municipalities, removes Indigenous voices and reduces local subject expertise. I stand against this proposal as an Ontarian who cares about the province and the well being of all life in it.
