I hold multiple degrees in environmental science, including a master of science in with specialization in fluvial geomorphology. I can say without a doubt this is a bad move for the province. The conservation authorities are integral to the long-term health of the province and it's people. Consolidating conservation into 7 areas run by 7 large authorities is a mistake the province will be paying for for many decades to come. I strongly object to this proposal and urge the province to heed the message and concern of both experts and citizens: conservation is not a business and trying to run it as such will be incredibly detrimental.
