To answer the discussion questions:

-I really doubt there would be a successful transition. I've visited most of the areas which are going to be merged and seen how badly floods get there. Unless there are plans to allocate funding in case floods get worse there, I daresay that most were separate authorities specifically because flooding was worse in one area compared to another. (And I do not see any sort of plans for funding)

-See above for benefits. Let me tell you a story too: one time when leaving work the roads were flooded. And this is in Toronto. Would a consolidated conservation authority be able to respond to multiple reports of flooding?

-For the remaining three questions: full transparency about why this is being considered. Any sort of reason? Any full-on benefits that would actually benefit Ontarians? Any biases that need to be considered? Has any conservation authorities, communities, and/or stakeholders been informed this will be happening before this was announced?
