I'm concerned and embarrassed that the provincial government, that I voted for, would make a rash decision like this without consultation of any kind.
Each existing region is managed by a group of experts who understand the unique needs of their regions. Amalgamation at this large scale does not solve issues; it creates more room for error and quite possibly, potential disaster.
Please do better and at a minimum, consult with experts and local communities before moving forward with this ridiculous change.
As a tax-paying citizen who enjoys the outdoors and respects nature, I hope you would consider retracting this decision.
