Amalgamating conservation authorities across the province will result in reduced oversight and poor management of the resources. Has history taught us nothing? Every amalgamation of government entities has resulted in lower service levels. Taking away the local knowledge for any given area will result in more uninformed decisions, which is not in the interest of those citizens who fund the government.
