As an avid user of land managed under local conservation authority i strongly oppose consolidation of the various conservation authorities. It goes against common sense to believe that areas within the GTA and those in rural areas face the same challenges. Further more this seems like way for development to be implemented more quickly and degrade our natural places. I believe that any change would have a detrimental impact as the new much larger CA would be unable to address local issues as quickly or with the same intimate knowledge of the local landscapes
