After reviewing the documentation I cannot agree with these changes. They appear to be an attempt to remove authority from local conservation authorities and hand it over to the province, and whether to follow procedure can be decided at the whim of the minister.
This is a very troubling proposal to come from our government and I will be informing everyone I know so they know exactly who to blame when this is inevitably used to force through destructive projects without adequate environmental consideration.
