I do not support this proposal as I believe it will reduce the effectiveness of conservation authorities to protect watersheds, manage drainage/erosion, and protect the natural environment. I also believe that it will reduce community engagement with local conversation areas and undermine educational outreach.

Based on the contents of this proposal, it seems clear to me that this government is attempting to reduce the ability for conservation authorities to do their critical work without any consideration for the consequences. Why would you make the system more centralized if not to make it easier to control?
