We are very concerned about the proposal as stated since the conservation authorities play an important role in flood protection, and hatural heritage monitoring and protection. the many different authorities have knowledge of local conditions which we fear will be lost if they are reduced to only 7 mega sized authorities. The option to create a provincial overseeing body and retain the current boundaries and administrations would be a better approach.
