I find it rather offensive that, in a supposedly "free society", the Provincial Govt. feels that it has the authority to over rule decisions made at the local level. The Town of Oakville is well represented administratively and is very well aware of potential issues arising from thoughtless expansion/developments.
The Town of Oakville has a development plan which has been approved by the area representatives as well as the professional staff members and it is expected that higher levels of Govt. will respect such a situation.
In summary, I have total faith in the Town of Oakville's development plans and can readily accept that any perceived limitations are totally justified. I will be extremely disappointed if the Province's perspective is forced upon our communities.
