I am quite angry at the amount of time I have had to spend on a proposal that residents of Oakville oppose and all of us have repeatedly indicated is density that is ill-advised, will destroy the fabric of Oakville and is not wanted. For some reason residents like me are being ignored. The extreme density proposed for midtown Oakville is assinine -- neither the infrastructure nor services are sufficient to deal with the influx expected. We already have traffic issues, crime at unprecedented levels, healthcare and primary care in a crisis so adding more on top of this is absurd. That combined with the structures proposed only adds to the stupidity of this whole plan. For greater clarity, I am completely opposed to the TOC Midtown Oakville plan and would ask that it be withdrawn forthwith.
