I'm not in favour of Bill 66…

I'm not in favour of Bill 66. I believe such omnibus bills often hide changes that many people would not agree with. In particular I believe Bill 66 opens the door to unwise, environmentally harmful development, especially of greenbelt lands and those in sensitive areas, in favour of developers. I fear that safeguards to clean water will "go down the drain" and we might experience another Walkerton tragedy. Allowing municipalities and developers to bypass environmental regulations is not in the public interest. It's particularly terrible that this bill will not allow appeal of development decisions!
