Costs to rhe rate payer, especially in small rural municipalites will be great. Our municipality has a 1 percent rate increase with a spend of only roughly $40,000. We have 312.sq km do roads to maintain. Water and waste water, arenas and public lands. We are supporting a public library and schools, conservation authority and county through our tax dollars. Not to forget the policies and promotions of the province through child care, housing, etc. We can not afford the multiple levels of oversight on our asset management. Yes, municipalities are the creation of the province. You have oversight. Can you not find a less time consuming and costly method.of achieving this goal?
