I fundamentally object to the conservative parties plans to gut Ontario’s Endangered Species Act, which equates to selling our wildlife to the highest bidders. This revamp of it gives far too much power to the government to override ecological concerns. It puts the financial gains of corporations ahead of endangered species. No amount of money will ever be worth the lives and entire species of animals, insects or any other living being.
I am so saddened to be living in a province where this situation is even a discussion. It makes me sad and embarrassed to be an Ontario resident, something that I have always been proud of.
