Many of these changes are extremely short-sighted and a gift to developers. Allowing developers the option of "paying" to circumvent protections on endangered species is utterly corrupt. Allowing discretion for the government to come up with recovery plans on identified species provides an excuse to do nothing while species dwindle. This is an outrageous insult to the people of Ontario and a gift to an elite few.
