I am a concerned resident of St-Bernardin. The proponent for the Eastern Fields Wind Power Project is not setting aside the funds (locked-in or otherwise) required for decommissioning the wind turbines at end of life. I demand guarantees that it will not be our municipal, provincial or federal tax dollars that pay for the proper removal of the wind turbines, and that the wind turbines will be removed within one year of shut-down. I make this demand in light of the current trend in the wind industry of selling a project within months of end of life to a company with no resources that declares bankruptcy when it comes time for turbine removal.
