I fully support salmon stocking in Lake Superior. I think any damage to forage base is a result of the lake trout being restored previous levels. In my 30 years of fishing lake superior the number of salmon is small compared to lake trout. Most lake superior anglers I know release the lake trout because of their poor eating quality. A salmon fishery on lake superior is very important to all the anglers I know. I don't believe salmon stocking will have any harmful effects.
