I am supportive of the goals of protecting our water supply and of protecting farm land.
However, there are three things I would like to see if the Greenbelt is extended.
1. More emphasis .
2. There should be stronger protection of heritage resources. Intensification projects should incorporate/ adaptively reuse existing heritage buildings. Period. Not "where feasible". Not "if possible". Architects and developers are creative, or at least they CAN be, when they have to be. 3. The water protection measures in an expanded Green Belt should not weaken stronger measures already in place in the Region of Waterloo.
