I wish to express my concerns and desire to maintain Wabakimi, Kopka and Whitesand as TRUE WILDERNESS PARKS. We have too many provincial parks that have uses that are allowed to take place (logging, atv trails, roads, etc.) which erode the natural environment and have diminished the wilderness that we all are losing constantly. We must preserve the status of the provincial parks that area true wilderness areas. Our natural environment has to be maintained for the flora and fauna which the wilderness parks help to do. I have spent time in the Wabakimi and can tell you that compared to other provincial parks, it is a gem we need to preserve. As much as parks like Algonquin are wonderful places to go to, they can't be compared to Wabakimi. We can't allow the degradation and loss of this pristine wilderness by allowing land uses within the park (roads, logging, mining, lodges, power boating, atv trails, etc.) that will impact the park character and eliminate the true wilderness it is now. Please put me on your mailing list. I wish to be informed and have an opportunity to voice my concerns in this process of planning the future of these parks. Thank you.
