I am surprised that this proposal is even being considered given the location of the proposed site and
the reasons this is such a bad / poor choice. For more details see the specifics outlined in the petition

I have been a resident in WestHill for over 40 years and have seen the traffic congestion on Port Union Rd. generated by the nearby Rouge Hill GO train station with the increase in service . I have also heard the many complaints and traffic accidents which are now occurring more frequently with large construction type trucks and pedestrians. This one access to the 401 is very busy. Just north of the proposed site is a very residential area with many schools, parks community centres, ... and a very active population. You should be concerned about the truck traffic going though this area.

Why would you want to build a waste plant so near the lake when the governments at all levels have been talking about developing the water front in this area for the people of the city.

There have been issues with odors coming from the existing facility for years and this is not going to improve air quality.

Just because there is an existing old water sewage facility there is no reason to burden the healthy neighbourhood with the proposed facility.

Just when I was starting to have a more favourable attitude with this government, this shows up. I am disgusted with this even being a proposal.
