I was pleased to hear that on Friday, October 9, Jeff Yurek attended a (physically distanced) meeting in the CW Council chambers. As a member of Save Our Water in Centre Wellington, I am against the permit that allows water bottlers to extract and export water out of our region.
I still do not agree with the water bottler being allowed to extract more than the 50,000 gallons of water per day that is covered under the Permit to Take Water. Why would they be allowed to extract double what anyone else can extract?
As a taxpaying citizen of Centre Wellington, I oppose the unfair permit for commercial water bottling businesses. In fact, any amount of new water taking for water bottling is unacceptable let alone 379,000 litres every day.
Thank you for allowing my opposition to Bottled Water to be part of the Provincial decision.
