I am writing to voice an extreme objection to the government’s proposal to remove municipal authority and citizen participation in zoning changes. The government should not have the right to bypass the municipality and it’s citizens in a barefaced power grab. We elect members of the legislature to act in our best interests, not in the best interests of the developers. There is something radically wrong with this vein of thinking. We have not given you the authority to do this and so this attempt to exclude the citizenry from their rightful participation in any such changes is to be denied absolutely.
