Just because a construction project is government based should not mean that it does not require the assessments. These environmental areas are important for wildlife, flooding, water filtration, drinking water etc. These highway projects, as an example, won't just have immediate impacts they be will long term. You cannot take back what you destroy. Doug Ford has been known skirt around the rules when it comes to green spaces even before he was elected, please do not let this be the case here.
