Investment in the environment is investing in the future of our children and our province. The removal of environmental programs will be detrimental to our province's future.

It is critical that our government looks at the broader picture, providing incentives to consumers on electric vehicle will expedite the adoption, and drive prices down by increasing the demand. Look at Norway, they are by far leading the world in that regards. Ontario alone could better Norway and lead by example.

By removing the carbon tax, the province is imposing that every Ontario resident continue to breath in harmful particulates leading to climate change, health issues and increased medical costs and that is not right.

The GTA has had no smog advisory days since 2014. Compare that with previous years and that represents an enormous difference. Ontario MUST continue with its environmental leadership.

I will continue to support our federal government as they work on imposing carbon taxes on Ontario and hope that I can regain confidence in my province's government one day.
