Climate change caused by the human generation of greenhouse gases is the greatest existential crisis facing mankind. Ontario must do its part to reduce emissions and mitigate the effects of climate change. Cap and Trade both provided a financial incentive to reduce GHG emissions and funding for green strategies. Eliminating it will be expensive and irresponsible. Further, it will simply result in a federal carbon tax being imposed.
