Removing the emissions test not only will put the numbers back to where they were in 1999 within the next 5 years, but will allow vehicles to be on the road which would have come into a shop to be tested
And would probably been on the hoist where safety issues could have been caught before a catastrophic accident would happen. The proposal of either an annual or every second year safety for vehicles older than 3 years would clean up the unsafe vehicles which roam our roads on a daily basis. More thought should have been put into your decission and have had more input from professionals working in the trade as we see what happens every day.
