Stepping away from a functioning system that will help the planet and in the long run help the economy makes no sense. We need leaders that will ensure that the future will be available for the next generation. The Green Energy Act is the beginning of a long term strategy to reverse many negative environmental activities that have happened over the past 40 years. With over 90% of the scientific community telling us that climate change is a direct result of the activities of humans it would only mean that humans must do things to correct these changes. The government needs to bring all the people together in a single program like that of the Green Energy Act to make a large difference for the province of Ontario. Any other action would result in a makeshift and disconnected activities that would have little or no effect. The actions of this government are pandering to a certain belief system that is not well considered. Do not abolish the Green Energy Act. By not repealing it, the political reward may be beneficial.
