We do need to provide homes…

We do need to provide homes to more people so that they can live in them, requiring an affordable price to buy or rent. It appears that many of the houses being built today are being purchased as investment property to rent out on AirBnb.
Moreover giving money to developers rather than subsidizing poorer people to rent or buy is not necessary or desirable since they are likely to spend some of it bribing politicians and municipal councillors to pass even more laws in their favour. Or is that what you are doing anyway?
