The sale and development of land from the Green Belt is a short sighted and compromises the future of Ontarians. The Premiere is acting in self interest and not in the public good. The Green Belt has several functions that are unique to it's makeup. The Green Belt should never be sacrificed for development. It is needed as is to support agriculture, biodiversity, habitat and water filtration, storm water absorption, etc.

When a premiere says he won't touch the Green Belt he should keep his word. We have to consider the future, the health and viability of the land and water sources with regard to climate change. We can't just disregard these facts.

I am deeply disgusted by the decision to carve up the Green Belt. It is a thoughtless and negligent decision.
