Request that Simcoe County Official Plan Amendment 7 be modified to reflect the legal status of the South of Division Road Secondary Plan in Severn Township as Settlement Area by modifying the settlement area mapping in the Simcoe County Official Plan. Request that lands designated for development since 1995 in the South of Division Road Secondary Plan, owned by Silver Spring View Estates Ltd., be mapped as settlement area to reflect their legal status as such.
The South of Division Road Secondary Plan approved development in 1995. The Secondary Plan has been reflected in subsequent approved Official Plans by the County and the Township under the Growth Plan. As such it legally satisfies the Growth Plan definition to be settlement area, and should be clearly mapped as such.
Severn Township, in their 2022 adopted official plan, expressly reflected this history and legal status by mapping the South of Division Road Secondary Plan area as settlement area.
