Raising the ethanol content of automotive gasoline is a sure sign that we are letting un-educated yet desperate people make decisions which effect us all.
The ethanol industry in Ontario is a ruse used to convert huge quantities of diesel, fertilizer (obtained from Natural gas) and process fuel (propane and NG) into subsidies and what is at best, sub-par automotive fuel with 30% less energy per unit volume.
In most cases, making corn based ethanol requires more energy in the form of fossil fuels to make then it returns when its burnt in your car. The result for drivers is higher fuel costs and more fuel stops.
If the objective is to support corn growers and the Ethanol industry, then this is a good move. Anyone who thinks this has any substantive environmental benefits needs to learn how to use Google.
Don't do it.
thanks best rwy
