As a resident of Ontario, I am concerned with and opposed to the expansion of this program.

While it’s noted that the wild animals are taken from populations that are seen as stable, and efforts are made to ensure the dogs and coyotes/foxes/rabbits are kept separate, the stress the prey animals experience during testing and trialing is difficult to justify. Surely there are other ways (using realistic replica animals?) that are more humane, especially to support recreational, vs subsistence hunting activities.
