I am strongly against the MNR proposal to allow new licenses and transfer of licenses for train and trial areas in Ontario. What a massive step backwards and by the very department that should be diligent about keeping wild animals in their natural habitat, not used as bait!
The existing facilities need to be closed down, not expanded. Rabbits, coyotes and foxes taken out of their natural environment to be used for hunters to train dogs and hold competitions is extremely cruel and barbaric.
Please do the right thing for wildlife and do not move forward with this proposal.
