This is a horrendous and terrible project for Muskoka. This is an area of wildlife and turtles as well as many houses, people and pets.
For gods sake this is Muskoka! It was one of the most pristine beautiful places for everyone to enjoy until lately with so many disgusting money-making environmentally unstable, infrastructure destroying projects. Blasting our beautiful granite to make ugly structures and now a soil washing plant.
Have you personally been on Winhara road? It cannot by any stretch of the imagination handle the trucks projected to use the road. The whole thing is ludicrous really, kind of just plain stupid to think of putting such a sand decontamination treatment center in once beautiful Gravenhurst. Who’s pocket is this lining?
