I am a resident of the neighbourhood and frequently (several times a week) drive though the intersection where the buildings construction is proposed. I cannot understand why this meets the MZO requirements as this does not seem an urgent and critical decision. Rather, noting the high volume of condo buildings proposed in the vicinity, and surrounding areas (like CML using weston7) I would expect my city to take very thorough consideration of any new construction that alters the lifestyle of its current residents, including significant added traffic, impact to the visual landscape and the need for substantial new amenities to support the high volume of new residents. I would hope that the standard and thoughtful assessment be followed from the city to ensure its current residents are prioritized. Please do not allow these high rises to be build in this already very busy intersection. A very concerned local household with young children.
