Politicians are not being transparent about whom they actually support. The name of the applicant is the address. There is no evidence that whomever is applying actually has the experience and finances to deliver on this project. If the goal is to obtain zoning then sell to a developer then staff and politicians need to seriously consider if this is a breach of public trust.
It is nonsensical to grant special permissions that would boycott TRCA for a development in a floodplain, one that is highly degraded and upstream of a provincial growth center that is severely limited by a lack of stormwater infrastructure. It completely undermines the 2022 addition of the Greenbelt downstream as an urban river and valley.
