The lands are typically accessed by Ontario Highway 596, and Front Street maintained by the Minaki Local Roads Board. The lands are approximately 56 kilometres northwest of the City of Kenora.

Proposed application 60-C-259028 is to add a 0.0005 hectare portion of privately owned shoreline allowance to Lot 264 on Plan M-222 and a 0.013 hectare portion of Lot 262 to Lot 264. Lot 264 is approximately 0.32 hectares in size and is currently vacant. Resource-based recreational use is proposed, serviced by individual sewage services.
The effect of this application is to add a portion of an abutting lot and to tie existing shoreline allowance to an existing lot in a plan of subdivision in order to be conveyed through a future lot consolidation and provide legal access to the Winnipeg River.
