This is not only morally wrong but also the kind of backwards thinking that will leave Ontario behind in a new world economy. An economy based on clean renewable energy. Reverse your decision. Charge the biggest polluters and use the money to fund green initiatives. We cannot waste anymore time

I am a 17 year old high school student. I want Ontario to put a price on pollution, making polluters pay for their emissions and returning the revenues to the pockets of Ontarians so they can lower their carbon footprint. I want my world to be pollution free.

This is RIDICULOUS. As Canadians, we are SO dependent on our environment and have put in significant efforts to be climate leaders. We need a clean planet for our food, water, agriculture and economic growth. Lire davantage

Please do NOT get rid of cap and trade. We need deterrents in place to prevent pollution. We need a stronger response so the risks of pollution and climate change, any reversal on these policies will be going backwards instead of forward.

CO2 emissions are a real problem for both Ontario and the world. There is a real cost to global warming that we pay for in increased food prices and taxes to handle extreme weather events. Lire davantage

We cannot afford to repeal the Climate Change Mitigation and Low Carbon Economy Act! Our planet is already suffering, our economy has done enough, our pipelines were never in the best interest of our country and I'm ashamed that we bought into that industry. Lire davantage

Canada is supposed to be a leader in energy and environment conservation but now with this cancellation it has taken ten steps back. I'm ashamed of what this Ontario government has become, my children will suffer from the lack of action. Lire davantage

This program was the most realistic and effective solution to addressing current day environmental challenges in Ontario. Climate change is not going to slow down or go away should politicians choose to ignore it. Lire davantage

I do not agree with the Government of Ontario's decision to repeal cap and trade. Report after report from international organizations is stressing the importance of combating climate change. Cap and trade is a fair system that works for Ontario. Let's keep it.

Hi there, Hope your thanksgiving was good. I think the Ontario government, specifically the Conservative party needs to put a climate change program in place and make it a priority instead of destroying and having nothing. Lire davantage

Cap & trade should not be cancelled. It is the best carbon pricing system that there is. It encourages business to innovate and reduce their footprint. The EV and other rebates were huge and mean so much more to citizens than 3c on gas. Lire davantage

I think it a bad idea to cancel the program. There is no magic bullet to avoid climate change but we should all do our little bit to limit warming and a few dollars to reduce carbon use by a carbon tax is a good idea.

There are studies that demonstrate that cap and trade has been working to reduce emissions. There is much evidence to say that we are facing a global warming crisis and that we can do something about it. Lire davantage

We have reached a critical time for the environment and we need leadership who will take action to try and mitigate the effects of climate change. Given our climate’s current situation, Bill 4 is innaceptable and shameful for our province.
