Species at risk MUST be protected - and of course that means their habitat as well. No amount of "business" is going to be more important than protecting the natural world around us. We have destroyed forever too much of it already.
Ontario habitat needs to be fully protected and preserved. Any government policies should close any loopholes that put habitat in danger because of development and business interests
Ontario, yours to discover. What is going to be left to discover when we stop caring about the species and ecosystems?
Please review this act, make it a priority. We often hear talk about all of the solutions we have for all of our worlds problems but nothing is ever acted on.

Hello, thank you for letting me comment. I am really concerned about losing another species. These animals are residents of Ontario and their well-being should be as important as mine. Changes to the Endangered Species Act should improve protections, not water them down even further.

Earth is composed of many ecosystems that have become very fragile throughout the past 50 years. When one species in an ecosystem becomes endangered or extinct, this has a domino effect towards the other species within that ecosystem. Eventually, the whole ecosystem will collapse.

Part of what makes Ontario great is it's wilderness and wildlife. Both of these things need protection and help to continue to thrive. Please prevent businesses from being able to encroach on habitats needed to sustain our ecosystems. Keep Ontario natural, beautiful and something to be proud of!
I want better protection for Ontario's species at risk. The air we breathe, the water we drink, and the food we eat all depend on biodiversity.

We don't need changes to the act that will drive more species to extinction. Clearly defined no-go zones will protect our species and prevent further development in these areas.

It is so easy for some to simply say, yeah, there might be a problem with a certain species but that what I’m doing or don’t know won’t really harm them or have an impact and so it’s okay. But NO, it’s not okay.

We need to put our water, land, and animals above industry. Without protecting our land and animals (including humans) we are nothing. Please do not put money and business above people.
We have to preserve life on this planet, there should not be any species that are viewed as "not a priority." We are all part of an interconnected web. Protect wildlife and the planet for future generations.
Please do not do anything that endangers animals that are already greatly threatened. If anything we need to be taking more precautions to make sure that they survive and at some point hopefully start to prosper.
