Why are we still allowing the killing of harmless animals? What gives humans the right to control other species populations. We should be more concerned with controlling our own human population. This is 2020! We need change for animals!

The spring bear hunt should not be reinstated. The ability to distinguish between a male and female before shooting the bear is nearly impossible and therefore creating too high of a possibility of abandoned cubs that will be left to die. Lire davantage

I am very concerned that hunters are not able to identify a female with cubs. There are times when the female will leave her cub(s) in order to seek food or shelter for the family. Without the cubs in close proximity a hunter will be able to shoot the female. Lire davantage

The spring bear hunt & fall bear hunt should be STOPPED!!! Why should the bear population be extinguished because of ignorant greedy sport hunters!! Baiting should be made illegal. Female bears with cubs emerging from dens in spring should be protected. Lire davantage

I’m disappointed to be under a government who still believes it’s ok to hurt other living beings. Why is this even being considered? Why do black bears deserve to be killed? It’s completely immoral and I do not support it in any way.

Absolutely not! There is no need. The population in Ontario is not overrun and we already have grocery stores overflowing with animals. Why do we need more killing?

I am requesting that the ban continue on the bear hunt. It is a I humane act to hunt these animals especially as they are not a source of food but rather the target of a game. Please continue the ban on the bear hunt permanently.

As a resident of rural Ontario it is incumbent on me to register my DISAPPROVAL for any expansion or change to the Spring Bear Hunt. In fact there should be absolutely no Spring Bear Hunt.
