It seems counterproductive to prohibit hunting of wild pigs if they are invasive and becoming a problem. It would seem to make more since to open up an unrestricted cull, that would allow anyone to dispatch a wild pig upon siting. Perhaps even offering a bounty per head.

Ĺet legal firearm owners collect a bounty on them. Allow farmers to have legal firearm owners hunt them . Get a helicopter and have people pay to eradicate the nuisance pigs.

There is no doubt that these pigs are extremely adaptable. I would recommend putting a bounty on them. If the government implements a hunting season, then the government will seek to regulate it. If we are looking to eradicate this species, we need to take action quickly. Lire davantage

If you want to get rid of an invasive species like pigs then put a bounty on them. During the Great Emu War, the Australians brought out the military to try to systematically wipe our the invasive emu's. It failed, and the government ended up putting a bounty on emu's. Lire davantage

This article has a few interesting points. If we are attempting to eliminate boars, we must begin with trapping immediately for it to be effective. They reproduce too quickly. We also have a possible risk of boars breeding with our own domestic pigs, and producing even more quickly. Lire davantage

The Ministry needs to compile a list of affected producers. Since there only seems to be a few and there is no current problem, wouldn't it be fairer to let the existing operators continue, since they seem to be acting responsibly?
