The last thing we need in Canada is more cruelty to animals and that's what this would allow. Between training dogs to track and kill which would end with the owners brutality on both sides but the animals getting killed is for no good reason. Leave land for wildlife and end cruelty to animals !

I firmly reject the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry’s proposal to allow new licenses and the transfer of licenses for train and trial areas in Ontario. Penned dog hunting facilities are cruel to the wild animals that are subjected to various methods used to train dogs to hunt. Lire davantage

This policy is not conducive to the framework of MY Ontario. Stop setting cruel policies as my representative of Ontario residents. Lire davantage

Wildlife should never be taken from their natural environments and held captive by hunters. It’s especially cruel to use rabbits, coyotes and foxes as pawns for hunters to train dogs and hold competitions. Lire davantage

There is no need for the barbaric hunting of animals in this category. They are not meat animals and nature will take care of itself without human interference

Barbaric proposal that should not pass. This arcaic practice have no place in modern society. Instead of ideas of how to torture animals, the Ministry should be thinking in action plans to stop the extinction of endangered species

I am deeply troubled by this proposal to allow new licences and the transfer of existing licences. Instead of issuing new licences, the existing "train and trial" areas in Ontario should be closed. These penned dog-hunting facilities are inhumane to the wild animals that are used to train the dogs. Lire davantage

This is archaic. There was a good reason why this practice was halted in 1996. Wildlife should never be taken from their natural environments and held captive by hunters. It’s especially cruel to use rabbits, coyotes, and foxes as pawns for hunters to train dogs and hold competitions. Lire davantage

Please do not allow the keeping of wildlife in captivity for the purpose of training dogs to hunt. Wildlife in captivity is subject to the Provincial Animal Welfare Act. Allowing these training facilities is in violation of the PAWS Act. Lire davantage

What a reckless and cruel proposal!! Time to stop pandering to those with bloodlust. Instead of opening new applications, the province’s existing 24 facilities need to be closed immediately. Lire davantage

The very fact that this proposal and the archaic and inhumane consequences is even being considered, is an affront to decency. Lire davantage

I expect better from my government and never thought they would support such crueity. Wildlife should never be taken from their natural environments and held captive by hunters.
