I would also like to add from previous comment that this would also provide a much needed service for training of dogs and would open up new areas.
This is really archaic, barbaric and totally unethical! This should not be allowed in the 21st century. Please stop this cruel and horrific treatment to sentient creatures who have feelings like human beings.
Absolutely not ! I am against crappy humans raising wildlife for the purpose of being game for hunting dogs . Seems like a terrible case of animal neglect when we cant even stop livestock neglect , puppy mill neglect . No way I want to legalize wildlife neglect . No no no
With wildlife disappearing at an alarming rate;more of these cruel facilities would be literally a disgrace to humanity. We have lost almost half of all wildlife sine 1970. It is disturbing to think that any government would consider allowing more of these disgraceful facilities.
This is cruel and abusive for the wild animals and the dogs, your government claims to be at the forefront of animal protection and yet this is worse than a step back. If this goes through the province will be heading back 50 years not moving forward!

The act needs to be modified and allow new training and trialing pens. This is and always has been a sport, insuring the avid hunter that there is a future to carry on the heritage of our fore fathers. A lot of money and time goes to the betterment of beagle breeding.

I would like to firmly reject the proposal that allows new licenses and transfer of licenses for train and trial areas in Ontario. This would put us back in time 25 years! Why do we even need these places in Ontario - we don't!

The act of getting enjoyment out of aiming to kill animals and watching them die is unfathomable to me, but to add dogs to this takes hunting to a higher level of cruelty. For God's sake, let these train and trial venues be phased out as intended.

I am against the proposed extension of licenses for such facilities. The wildlife of Ontario is already facing huge challenges from everything including licensed toxins in the environment to climate change to total habitat destruction for highways and resource exploitation.

I am firmly against the proposal to reinstate trial and train hunting facilities and frankly I am shocked that such a cruel practice would even be considered.
I warrant that the vast majority of Ontarians would object to the inhumane captivity and torture of wild animals.
