Continue the phase out. Absolutely barbaric and unnecessary. Animal cruelty!!!!@ No need for this in 2023.

This is so ridiculous. Absolutely not. It is mind boggling that any sane person would even consider this. It's disgusting and pointless and cruel for no reason.

I completely reject the proposed opening up of the cruel, inhumane practice of training dogs to hunt by providing a cage of captured animals. Shame on you.

This is extremely cruel, to all animals involved, and to what end? Sport? I am from the north, and still live deep in wolf, coyote and fox territory and we see all three frequently. Lire davantage

I can't believe anyone would even think of such a thing as allowing new licenses & transferring of licenses for train and trial areas. We are not back in the 1800s when torture was ok. These animals are living intelligent creatures who would endure terror and severe pain. Lire davantage

I strongly reject this proposal. In a time when we should be protecting and enhancing our natural world, this seems a cruel and unethical, if not backwards license. I am all for hunting and population management but in an ethical manner. Let wildlife be wild.

I firmly reject the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry’s proposal to allow new licenses and the transfer of licenses for train and trial areas in Ontario. Penned dog hunting facilities are cruel to the wild animals that are subjected to various methods used to train dogs to hunt. Lire davantage

As if wildlife wasn't already under enough stress, you propose torturing them in the name of "training" and "gaming"? It's a disgusting proposal! Shame on us!

This proposal is absolutely archaic and disgusting. Let’s leave these atrocious acts of violence and inhumane behaviour in the past. Do better Ontario.

Regarding ERO # 019-3685: I do not support using live animals as bait to train hunting dogs, or any other animal being trained to hunt. It is inhumane, showing a complete disregard for life best left alone in the wild. Lire davantage

I strongly oppose this proposal. The use of wild animals for dog training is in-humane and unnecessary. Wild life is under enough threat already with our population growth and poor environmental actions. Lire davantage

I’m shocked to hear of this practice and disgusted but it’s continued existence. I see no clear practical need for this cruel treatment of animals. Shame on you if you allow more areas, let alone it’s continuance.

I never knew that these "Train and Trial facilities" existed in Ontario. I find the whole idea of using wild animals in captivity to train hunting dogs to be unthinkable. What century are we in? the 1800's? We are supposed to be civilized people but these facilities are cruel and abhorrent. Lire davantage

Please do not issue licences for using wild animals as bait for hunting dogs. It is totally abhorrent and should have no place in a society that thinks itself progressive.

This is an appalling proposal: wild animals are not cheap substitutes for serious training. This is an outrage against the environment, & is totally inappropriate for this or any other Ontario ministry.
